Internationally Recognised Researcher Offers Insight into Latest Social Trends

Ashley Fell, Social Researcher and Communications Team Leader at McCrindle

Local not-for-profit organisations are invited to learn about future trends in the technological, social and economic fields, as the Central Coast NFP Forum Series kicks off for 2019.

Our popular series is returning for another year to provide assistance to the Coast’s not-for-profit sector through seminars, educational workshops and support services.

The topic of the February event: ‘Community and Social Trends for NFPs Towards 2030’, focuses on the trends shaping our nation, and their impact on not-for-profits and the communities they serve.

This timely seminar will be presented by Ashley Fell – a respected social researcher, TEDx speaker and Head of Communications at McCrindle; an organisation renowned for tracking emerging issues, researching social trends, and analysing customer segments.

Fortunity will also be running a smaller, tailored workshop following the event, where Ashley will focus on the recruitment, training and retention of a new generation of workers.

The February forum and workshop will present data that organisations, their boards and management cannot afford to ignore. We feel it’s imperative that not-for-profits in our region understand what’s coming up in terms of social, technological and economic trends, so they can be ready to respond to them appropriately.

The Central Coast NFP Forum Series is a one-stop-shop for all the latest information available for the sector, and in 2019, we’re continuing to showcase some of the country’s leading experts for the benefit of NFPs right here on the Central Coast.

The NFP Forum on ‘Community and Social Trends for NFPs Towards 2030’ will be held on:

Monday 18 February 2019, from 3.30pm to 6pm
The University of Newcastle – Lecture Theatre 102, Loop Road, Ourimbah.

Topics covered in the forum will include:

  • An overview of the latest Census data;

  • An insight into how population trends will impact our local communities.

The follow-up workshop will be held on:
